CCL Secure works with local school to enable COVID-19 safe teaching

CCL Secure has continued with its partnership with Wigton neighbour, the Nelson Thomlinson School donating perspex screens for the classrooms. The screens will allow for lessons to resume following the UK's lockdown.

Mr Northwood, Nelson Thomlinson's Head Teacher commented "We have always considered NTS to be a community school and long-standing collaboration with the local factories has been a hallmark of our success. We have benefited from their support and they have recruited many of our former pupils as employees. The latest episodes in this strong relationship have been their support for our F1-in-schools team and a fabulous response to the COVID pandemic: screens provided generously by CCL now protect our most vulnerable members of staff in the classroom environment. What better example could there be of a strong link between school and local industry?"

CCL Secure understand the benefits of supporting the local community; in the short term by being part of initiatives like this and in the long term, encouraging students to take up a career in manufacturing. Children have already missed a considerable amount of time away from the classroom. By donating these screens CCL Secure are supporting the essential, safe return of teachers and pupils back into school life.

CCL Secure's Gary Frizell added "We are proud of our relationship and strong ties with Nelson Thomlinson School and the local community."
